Menopause / Perimenopause Consultations / Blood Tests
We offer face-to-face or online GP consultations where we will discuss all your symptoms and concerns. We will take time to talk through all the treatment options, both Hormonal Replacement Therapy (HRT) and non-hormonal treatments relevant to you, your symptoms and your future health.
We can provide you with a personal menopause plan, a private prescription if needed and with your permission, we can write to your NHS doctor to request that they issue you with an NHS prescription.
Consultation with our GP Specialist
Face-to-Face, or Online if you prefer
A consultation with one of our specialist GPs who will talk through your symptoms of perimenopause or menopause and any concerns that you may have. We will provide you with information, support and a prescription for HRT if needed. Once we have developed an individual treatment plan for you this will be emailed to you and your GP (with your consent of course). 6- 8 weeks later one of the clinical team will call to review you, and if necessary make adjustments to your treatment plan free of charge. |

Any further adjustments can be made to your treatment regimen at this stage and if needed a prescription will be included in the price. Fast track appointment for testosterone
Face-to-Face, or Online if you prefer
(This is for patients who are already established on HRT through their NHS GP and want to start testosterone privately)
Meet with a GP to discuss and review the potential need for adding testosterone to your HRT. Any further adjustments can be made to your treatment regimen at this stage and if needed a prescription will be included in the price (but there will be an additional charge to pay to your chosen pharmacy). Following your appointment we request that you book in a testosterone level blood test which will be carried out after 3-4 months of starting testosterone. You can do this through The Hormone Centre (see pricing below under Blood tests, or through your GP).
Please note: this is a more focused and therefore shorter appointment to talk through the benefits and risks of testosterone.

Blood tests
Whilst it may not be necessary for a diagnosis of menopause, your doctor may request blood tests either to guide treatment or to gain an understanding of your overall health.
Blood test results are usually returned within 10 days of taking bloods at The Hormone Centre in East Grinstead. We will notify you of your results and with your permission we will also inform your GP of any results.
