Women who are likely to benefit from taking HRT are usually given a private prescription for the first few months. You can then continue to have HRT as a private prescription from The Hormone Centre or ask your GP to continue the prescription on the NHS.

Any private charges for writing a prescription are included at your initial consultation. Repeat prescriptions will be charged £37.

Costs for a month’s supply of HRT will vary depending on the type of medication prescribed, but varies is around £14 per item. Testosterone is more expensive at £80 for a tube of cream that will last around 3-4 months.

Please note that your chosen pharmacy will issue a prescription dispensing fee for each prescription which differs from pharmacy to pharmacy.
